EQUICLIMATE

We at GovNet Communications are committed to sustainability, and wish to enable environmental responsibility for all visitors to our events. With this in mind, we would like to encourage you to offset the CO2 emitted as a result of your travel to all of our events with EQUICLIMATE.

Equiclimate is an innovative Kyoto-compliant offsetting service which enables individuals, households and companies to use the Europe-wide market in carbon dioxide to offset the CO2 footprint they produce from using fossil fuels. With the EQUICLIMATE online carbon calculator, customers can evaluate the environmental impact of their activities and then counteract it using the EQUICLIMATE offsetting service which buys and retires carbon allowances (EUAs) in the EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS). Because EQUICLIMATE permanently removes carbon allowances from circulation, the major European emitters of CO2 are forced to emit less. This amount will be relative to the amount the customer wishes to offset.

GovNet Communications are proud to be working in association with EQUICLIMATE to reduce the environmental impact of its events.
