Head of Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) - Health Education England

As Head of Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL), I lead a team of technologists, project managers and clinical advisors, comprising over 100 personnel, within a key business function of Health Education Enlgand. The TEL team is responsible for delivery of a range of national digital learning platforms (Learning Hub, e-Learning for Healthcare and Digital Learning Services), the development of digital learning content (including immersive technologies/ XR); as well as providing strategic influence on the use of learning technologies in the NHS to support blended learning and the application of simulation-based education. Reporting to the executive team, I lead on both strategy and operational delivery (including financial, communications, project delivery; both waterfall and agile methodology, and governance). I oversee a number of collaborations with national, regional and local NHS bodies, government departments, professional bodies and academic partners. I have a particular interest in mental health, however, my team supports education and training across all professions and healthcare settings.
